Text messages P.E.E analysis "Cwah I like the dark green ones m8!" In the opening of the text message, the colloquial "cwah" is used. This is a very informal and casual, and infers that this type of message was sent to a friend or someone close. It reinforces the informal nature of the conversation. Furthermore, the number homophone "m8" is used at the end of the text message to further show this friendly and "matey" relationship between the participants. The use of "m8" instead of "mate" shows a socialect between the two and shows how texting naturally abbreviates words, further implying that this relationship is very casual and friendly, which means there's no real need to be formal and academic. The target audience for this article is young males between the ages of 16-30. This is presented through the use of taboo, vulgar language and the informal tone used as well.The reason fir this is for Minsky to relate to his audience and to make people feel more involved in the article.
